Arsenal are considering a move for AZ Alkmaar forward Myron Boadu, according to Voetbal4U, after being priced out of a deal for fellow Eredivisie forward Donyell Malen.
The Gunners had been linked with PSV Eindhoven star Malen earlier this month, with the North London club keen on reuniting with their former Academy starlet, however, Arsenal’s interest has waned after PSV slapped a €60million price tag on their star forward.
Now Mikel Arteta’s side have turned their attention to AZ star Boadu, as they look to find a potential replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who could leave the club at the end of the season.
The 19-year old has been in fantastic goalscoring form this season, having scored 20 goals in 39 appearances for AZ, and the Gunners seemingly believe that he could be a solid option to move to the Emirates in the summer.

Much like Malen, Boadu has shown plenty of goalscoring promise at such a young age, and does look like an exciting prospect.
Arsenal’s big question should be whether Boadu is ready and equipped to make the mammoth jump from the Eredivisie to the Premier League, as many stars in the Dutch league have failed to replicate that success in England.
Davy Klaassen was a high-profile flop with Everton recently, despite having led Ajax to the Europa League final as captain the season prior, while Tottenham forward Vincent Janssen has been a huge failure in England, although he scored 32 in 49 with AZ before moving to White Hart Lane.
There have of course been success stories, such as Luis Suarez, but there is a marked step up in terms of the demands of the Eredivisie compared to the Premier League.
On his goalscoring record alone, Arsenal should consider Boadu as an option this summer, but they should ensure they have done all their research to make sure they are as informed as possible over whether he can make the transition.
