Arsenal are interested in signing Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler this summer, according to Sky Sports, and a number of Gunners fans have expressed their delight following the transfer speculation.
The 23-year-old Spaniard has been a regular starter at the Mestalla this season, often starring for Albert Celades’ side, and Sky Sports claim that Mikel Arteta is a big fan of the midfielder.
Earlier this season, Marca (via Sky Sports) claimed that Valencia are being forced to raise £36 million in player sales before June 30 in order to balance their books, which could give Arsenal an advantage in their summer pursuit.
The Gunners haven’t been in the Champions League for the last three seasons, and the Spanish manager will now look to take his side back into Europe’s top competition next season, with key signings like Soler’s likely to boost the club’s chances.
