Arsenal should move quickly to sign Malen this summer

Arsenal must move quickly if they wish to secure the signature of PSV forward Donyell Malen, with agent Mino Raiola talking up his future ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 21-year old striker, who formerly came through Arsenal’s academy, has been in electric form for Dutch club PSV Eindhoven this season. In 25 appearances across all competitions, Malen has scored on 17 occasions, while also managing a further nine assists for his side.

Arsenal want to re-sign their former forward, according to football.london, although Mail Online claims that Malen’s agent Raiola could look to move some of his clients to Real Madrid this summer.

With Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette both potentially heading towards the exit door at the Emirates this season, Arsenal need offensive reinforcement, and Malen could be the man to add depth to their attacking options.

With Mikel Arteta looking to rebuild this summer, the talented Dutchman, valued at just over £25 million by Transfermarkt, could add another attacking dimension to his forward options. Having been compared to Alexis Sanchez in the past, Malen is lightning quick with an aptitude for dribbling at speed at shooting on goal – traits which could make him a key asset for Arteta.

Should the Spaniard see Malen as a key part of his Arsenal rebuild, he should now move quickly to secure his signature before Raiola finds another club for him.
