Several Arsenal fans have been reflecting on Alexis Sanchez’ legacy at the club, and there is clearly no love lost for some supporters.
The Chilean forward was a superstar during his time with the Gunners, having signed from Barcelona in 2014 for around £35million, although the club’s inability to compete at the top of the table ultimately saw him leave.
In January 2018, Sanchez looked likely to join Manchester City, although he eventually ended up joining Manchester United, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan going the other way in a straight swap deal.
Sanchez never really got going for the Red Devils, and was subsequently shipped out to Inter Milan on a season-long loan deal last summer, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer deeming him surplus to requirements.
Reflecting on his time in North London and whether he should be held in higher regard, a number of fans weren’t in any rush to forget the 31-year old’s cavalier attitude in exiting the club.
