Several Arsenal fans have expressed their delight after the club confirmed that Kieran Tierney has returned to full first-team training.
The summer signing from Celtic has only made five Premier League appearances for the Gunners this season, having been plagued with injury, and last played in the league against West Ham in early December.
In Tierney’s absence, Arsenal have benefitted from the form of Bukayo Saka, who has done well playing out of position as the club and fans alike eagerly awaited the Scotland international’s return to fitness.
Now, looking ahead to this weekend’s Premier League game against West Ham, Arsenal confirmed in an injury update that Tierney is back training with the first-team group.
It isn’t clear whether that means that the former Hoops man has been cleared to return to action just yet, but if he hasn’t, then it shouldn’t be much longer now, giving Mikel Arteta a huge selection boost.
Reacting to the injury update, a number of Arsenal fans were delighted to have the defender back and hopefully ready to compete, taking to Twitter to express their thoughts.
