Several Arsenal fans have called for young forward Folarin Balogun to be handed a call-up to the first team after scoring once again for the Under-23s.
The 18-year old was on the scoresheet as the young Gunners beat Monaco 4-3 in the Premier League International Cup, scoring a brace against the French side.
The New York-born England youth international has been in electric goalscoring form for Arsenal’s youth side this season, having scored 10 goals in 15 Premier League 2 games.
Now following two more goals for Steve Bould’s side, a number of Arsenal fans have taken to social media to call on the club to hand Balogun a first-team opportunity.
Balogun was named on Arsenal’s bench earlier in the season, when the Gunners faced Nottingham Forest at the Emirates, although he didn’t get onto the pitch.
While it remains to be seen whether Mikel Arteta has been keeping a watchful eye on his youth tanks, a number of supporters believe that Balogun deserves a chance at the top.
