Manchester United and Tottenham were thought to be the two English sides keen on a deal for Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare.
However, according to Bleacher Report’s Dean Jones, cited by @ltarsenal, Arsenal could be one of the sides who have made an enquiry for the 20-year-old.

Soumare, a holding midfielder, is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in Europe and is attracting major interest from some of Europe’s elite.
Lille value the Frenchman at £50m and have reportedly already received six bids for the youngster.

Arsenal may well have made an initial enquiry regarding Soumare’s services.
However, the Gunners might only firm up their reported interest if they lose one of their star midfielders.
Both Granit Xhaka and Lucas Torreira have been linked with Emirates exits in recent weeks, but rumours over respective moves to Hertha Berlin and Napoli have now cooled.
There’s no doubting that Soumare will be a future star, but if Mikel Arteta manages to keep hold of both Xhaka and Torreira, a move for Soumare probably won’t materialise.
