Arsenal have been tipped to rival Chelsea and Tottenham for Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake this month.
That’s according to the Telegraph, who claim that Mikel Arteta is now prioritising a new central defender following the serious injury to Calum Chambers, with Ake on the list of targets.
Red Bull Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano is also on Arteta’s wishlist, but it seems as if a move for Ake is now a real possibility.

The report claims that Chelsea remain the favourites to re-sign the 24-year-old for £40m, so the Gunners would need to offer at least £45m to have any chance of luring the Netherlands international to the Emirates.
The news quickly made its way across social media on Thursday evening, and these Arsenal fans were keen for the Gunners to make their move.

Arsenal were in desperate need of a new central defender before Chambers’ injury, but it seems as if his long-term absence is what’s caused the club to act.
Both Ake and Upamecano would add quality to the Gunners’ backline.
Ake has proven Premier League experience, while Upamecano is possibly the more raw and exciting option.
Eiher defender would be welcomed in North London, now it’s just a waiting game to see if the club can get a deal over the line.
