Arsenal have not ruled out the possibility of keeping Eddie Nketiah beyond the January transfer window.
Poised to be recalled from his loan spell at Leeds United, reports now say that the striker could remain at the club until the end of January to show why he should be staying put.
Nketiah has struggled to get regular game time at Elland Road and the striker has plenty of suitors in the Championship for the second half of the season.
Closer to home, Arsenal have struggled to find the right combination up front this season with Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, which could open up an opportunity for Nketiah.

While Nketiah could get a chance to prove his worth at Arsenal during the second half of the season, the better move would be to send him out on loan once again.
He has missed so much game time during the opening months of the campaign at Leeds that he is already playing catch up.
There’s no doubt that he’d learn plenty from sticking around at the Emirates, watching the likes of Aubameyang and Lacazette, but he’s at a stage where he needs to be playing every week.
It looks like there could be plenty of interest in him during the January window, so Arsenal must take advantage of that.
