Arsenal are considering a January deal that would see William Saliba cut his loan at Saint-Etienne short.
According to the Mirror, the Gunners will enquire about the possibility of him returning to London early.
Reports in France last week suggested that Arsenal could try their luck, but a deal was considered unlikely.
However, that has not stopped the rumours, with Arsenal’s willingness to try and do a deal seemingly growing.

It’s a sign of how stretched Arsenal are after losing Calum Chambers to a nasty injury against Chelsea over the weekend.

There’s no word on how much a deal to bring Saliba back to Arsenal early would cost, but even with a small compensation fee to the Ligue 1 club – he’d be one of the cheaper options for the Gunners.
The club can look at this option in one of two ways. Saliba could return early with a view to next season, while also covering the current first-team squad at the same time.
By giving him game time between now and the end of the season, they can use this period to let him settle in, adapt to the Premier League before hitting the ground running next season.
On the other hand, it could have an adverse effect. Given Arsenal’s current struggles at the back, throwing him into the deep end could knock his confidence if he doesn’t get off to a good start in North London.
