Arsenal and Manchester United have been handed an early January transfer blow in their pursuit of Atalanta midfielder Dejan Kulusevski.
Both the Gunners and the Red Devils have been heavily tipped to make a move for the 19-year-old in the New Year.
However, according to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, cited by Sempre Inter, Serie A giants Inter Milan are close to agreeing a fee for the teenager.

The report claims that there is now just €5m separating the two sides, with Inter offering €35m, while Atalanta are holding out for €40m.
Both sides are confident that a deal can be reached, and a transfer could go through during the January window.

Mikel Arteta reportedly made Kulusevski and Juventus defender Merih Demiral his top two January transfer targets, so the latest news will come as a blow to the Spaniard.
Additions are needed in January, especially at the back and in midfield, but it appears as if Kulusevski won’t be making the move to north London.
