Plenty of Arsenal fans were drooling over Lucas Torreira’s display against Bournemouth in Mikel Arteta’s first game in charge on Thursday.
The 23-year-old, who has been heavily tipped to leave north London over the coming weeks, started his fifth consecutive Premier League encounter for the Gunners.
The Uruguayan shone alongside Granit Xhaka in front of the back four, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s second-half effort earning Arteta’s men a point.
Arsenal fan @PatrickTimmons1 shared his love for Torreira after the final whistle, and these Gunners supporters were quick to follow suit.

Torreira is now being deployed in his natural position in north London, and it’s clear for everyone to see that he’s been a better player for it.
Unai Emery tried to use the South American further forward, which resulted in the player becoming unsettled at the Emirates.
Napoli have been heavily linked with a January move for the player, however, with Arteta now in charge and using him in his favoured position, he’ll hopefully be persuaded to stay.
