The Athletic’s Leeds correspondent has revealed Arsenal are yet to inform the Championship promotion hopefuls of their January plans for Nketiah, but those close to the striker believe he is set for a return to the Emirates.

Hay was offering the update in addition to the news that North London rivals Tottenham are set to recall Jack Clarke from his loan with Leeds following his lack of game time.

Recalling Nketiah would be an interesting decision from Arsenal if they do indeed cut his spell at Elland Road short.
The striker is featuring regularly as a substitute for Leeds this season, with all 14 of his league appearances coming from the bench, but the Gunners could be looking to recall him before sending him out to a club where he is guaranteed first-team football week in week out.
Alternatively, Mikel Arteta could feel a recall to the club is the best thing for his development at this stage.
