Arsenal handed Leno transfer boost as Bayern agree terms with Nubel

Bayern Munich have agreed to sign Schalke’s Alexander Nubel at the end of the season, and the latest news in Germany will be welcomed in north London.

According to German outlet Bild, cited by football.london, the 23-year-old, who was wanted by Tottenham, has agreed on a five-year deal with the Bundesliga champions when he becomes a free agent in the summer.

With Nubel set to make the switch to the Allianz Arena, it looks as if Bayern will now cool their interest in Arsenal star Bernd Leno.

The 27-year-old, who has arguably been the Gunners’ top performer this season, was linked with a move back to Germany to become Manuel Neuer’s long-term successor.

Leno has been the busiest goalkeeper in the Premier League this season, so there’s no surprise that his impressive displays attracted interest from Bayern.

He only made the move to England in June 2018 and has a contract until 2023, and Arsenal fans will be praying he stays until then at the bare minimum.
