Arsenal were reportedly considering recalling summer signing William Saliba from his Saint-Etienne loan.
The Gunners were thought to be keen on exploring a possible early recall following Mikel Arteta’s Emirates arrival.

However, Telegraph reporter Sam Dean has rubbished those rumours, revealing the highly-rated defender looks set to stay with the Ligue 1 side until the summer as planned.
The latest update quickly made its way across social media, and these Arsenal fans were happy with the news.

Saliba has already endured two injury issues this season and hasn’t exactly been the star of the French top-flight, so allowing him to continue his development with Saint-Etienne appears to be the right call.
The teenager has made just seven appearances this season and desperately needs to string together a run of games to have a chance of becoming a regular in north London next season.
Arsenal have a future star on their books in the 18-year-old, and hopefully, over the next six months, he’ll show the world why the Gunners forked out £27m for his signature over the summer.
