According to Turkish outlet Fotomac, via Sport Witness, Fenerbahce are close to announcing the signing of Ozil on a loan deal until the end of the season.

Ozil has served Arsenal well over the years, but it is clear that he is past his prime and it is time to let the younger players take his place in the squad. The likes of Emile Smith-Rowe, Joe Willock and Gabi Martinelli are all breaking through, which means that there is even less of a need to keep Ozil at the club.
Arsenal should let him leave and perhaps look to sign another younger attacking midfielder to compete with the three aforementioned talented, to keep competition intense. If Fenerbahce are willing to pay a decent portion of his wages, it seems like the perfect move for all parties involved.
With Mikel Arteta coming in, he is sure to want to stamp his authority immediately and look to start shaping his squad in the January window. This could start with shipping Ozil off to Turkey.
