Lucas Torreira has told Napoli that he wants to join them in January.
That’s according to reports in Italy, cited by Sports Witness, who claim that the 23-year-old has informed the Serie A side that he’d like to link up with them in the new year.

Napoli know that Arsenal aren’t keen on selling the defensive midfielder, however, if the Gunners have a change of heart, they’re ready to make their move.

The news of Torreira informing Napoli over his wish to head back to the Serie A is fresh and should worry the Gunners faithful.
The former Sampdoria man was desperate to leave north London during Unai Emery’s tenure in charge, but with the Spaniard now gone, Arsenal were hoping he’d be content to stay.
However, it doesn’t look that way and it appears that he has his heart set on a move to join Gennaro Gattuso’s side.
Everyone knows the power players now have in transfers in today’s market, and with the Uruguayan seemingly keen on an Emirates exit, Arsenal could be forced to sell next month.
