Manchester City assistant Mikel Arteta has reportedly agreed to become the next Arsenal manager, however, the Gunners are also set to bring another City chief to north London.
According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are closing in on City’s leading recruitment specialist Sam Fagbemi.
The 25-year-old talent-spotter works closely with head of academy recruitment and talent Joe Shields, another official who Arsenal have tried to bring to the Emirates.
Fagbemi has been offered a leading role with the Gunners and a deal is thought to be at an advanced stage.
The news made its way across social media on Tuesday evening, and as expected, plenty of Arsenal fans were quick to share their delight.

It’s good to see that the Gunners are looking to rebuild in the academy while also closing in on their former midfielder.
Arteta looks like he’ll be Unai Emery’s long-term successor, so Fagbemi would be working closely with the Spaniard should he also move south.
