The Spanish boss failed to make the desired impact at Arsenal and struggled to pick up results in the Premier League this season. He was sacked before Silva left Everton and did not prove with Arsenal that he has what it takes to manage in the Premier League – so why should Everton hire him?
If he could not be successful with Arsenal, why would he be able to make a difference with Everton? Duncan Ferguson got the best out of his squad against Chelsea, but it remains to be seen as to whether or not the club would be willing to give him a chance to stake a claim for the job – despite a great start.
