Sanchez earmarked as Arsenal’s ‘player of the decade’ by supporters

When Alexis Sanchez left Arsenal for Manchester United in 2018, it left many supporters furious.

However, numerous fans have now labelled the former forward as the club’s best player of the decade.

The 30-year-old arrived at the Emirates in 2014 from Barcelona in a big-money deal and spent four years in North London, helping the Gunners win the FA Cup in 2015 and 2017.

Sanchez made over 160 appearances under the guidance of Arsene Wenger before leaving for Old Trafford in January 2018.

And when @PatrickTimmons1 asked his followers for their player, game, goal, biggest disappointment, best memory and most underrated signing of the decade, it was the dynamic forward that appeared at the top of plenty of supporters’ list.

There were plenty more fans labelling Sanchez as the club’s best player of the decade, and after his controversial move to the Red Devils, we’re fairly surprised.

He did enjoy three prolific seasons in front of goal at the Emirates and helped push the Gunners for the Premier League title.

Another name that came behind Sanchez was Aaron Ramsey, with the midfielder ending his 11-year association with the Gunners over the summer.

The last 10 years haven’t been the club’s finest, despite winning three FA Cups, and looking back, Sanchez has definitely been one of the best performers for the Gunners.
