Arsenal continue their busy month of December by hosting Brighton at the Emirates this evening.
Not only is December chaotic in terms of the mass amounts of fixtures, but also the sacking of Unai Emery has not helped Arsenal’s stability.
Arsenal legend Freddie Ljungberg has taken charge and got his first taste as manager in a 2-2 draw against Norwich at Carrow Road.
Despite not losing, a team of Arsenal’s calibre should be winning these games and being winless in their previous eight, the Gunners really need a win against Brighton.
But, this Brighton side will not go down without a fight. Graham Potter’s men, despite being in 16th place, have shown a radical change from previous Brighton teams and for the better.
A tough run of fixtures puts tonight’s visitors undeservedly near the bottom of the table, but Potter’s unique managerial philosophy has allowed Brighton to play attacking, intensive and expansive football.
Here are a few key battles that we think will decide tonight’s match at the Emirates.
