Arsenal fans would love Simeone at the Emirates if he’s sacked by Atletico

Arsenal fans have urged the club to move for Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone following interesting developments at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.

According to Spanish outlet Marca, cited by @ZR_7G1, Simeone could soon be handed the sack by the La Liga giants, with officials disappointed by the club’s domestic and Champions League form.

Madrid have drawn seven of their opening 15 games in the league, which has left them in sixth position.

They’re also sweating on qualification into the knockout rounds in the Champions League and may need to defeat Lokomotiv Moscow in the final group stage to progress.

The news regarding the Argentine’s position at Madrid quickly made its way across social media, and as expected, plenty of Arsenal fans now want to see the 49-year-old at the Emirates.

Simeone has been linked with a move to the Premier League for several years, and if he ends his eight-year association with Atletico Madrid, he could be interested in linking up with the Gunners.

His teams are known for being defensively sound, and with Arsenal struggling at the back for several years, he’d have a huge task on his hands to tighten up the backline in North London.

It would be huge news if Simeone was shown the door by Atletico, but by the looks of it, several Arsenal fans are selfishly hoping that he is dismissed.
