Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has no intention of leaving the La Liga side to join Arsenal, according to Guillem Balague.
Simeone has no plans to leave Atleti, and it isn’t in his immediate plans to join Arsenal or any other Premier League side, which all but rules him out of taking charge at the Emirates.
It is claimed that Simeone is in the middle of a transitional period at the Madrid club, and is committed to seeing through his current project.
Balague adds that Arsenal haven’t made any contact with Simeone over a deal to take charge at the Gunners.
Simeone has an impressive record at Atletico Madrid, winning 272 times in 449 games in charge, and it’s no wonder why clubs are interested in the Argentinian.

Arsenal are really missing out on a world class manager who could take the Gunners to the next level.
If it means waiting to appoint a manager of his calibre, it would be best for them to continue with Freddie Ljungberg and wait for the right option to come along.
I think Arsenal should try everything in their power to try and appoint Simeone, but it’s fair to say that this one doesn’t look like it’s going to happen anytime soon.
