When Unai Emery was sacked by Arsenal last Friday, plenty of supporters were hoping for a quick turn around regarding his successor.
Freddie Ljungberg led the club on an interim basis against Norwich City on Sunday in the entertaining 2-2 draw at Carrow Road.

And according to The Times, fans may have to wait a month until a permanent appointment is made.
They claim that the Gunners have drawn up a shortlist of up to 12 names which will be reduced to a few candidates over the coming weeks.
The latest update was shared by @ZR_7G1 on social media, and the timeframe over the appointment left many fans disappointed.

Although the delay could seriously affect the Gunners’ season, the club need to get this next appointment spot on.
Numerous managers, both currently in and out of jobs, have been tipped to take over at the Emirates, and with so many managers on the club’s radar, it’s bound to take a lengthy period of time.
If the club get the next appointment horribly wrong, then they could follow in the footsteps of rivals Manchester United, who have been through four managers in six years following Sir Alex Ferguson’sretirementt.
