Massimiliano Allegri appears to be on Arsenal’s radar to replace Unai Emery, however, the former Juventus boss has concerns over the quality of the Gunners’ squad.
That’s according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, who also revealed on Monday that the 52-year-old would rather wait until the summer before returning to the dugout.

The news comes as a blow to the Gunners, who are looking to appoint a new permanent manager that is immediately available.
Allegri and former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino are two candidates that fit the requirements, while Leicester’s Brendan Rodgers and Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo remain unlikely appointments.

Allegri’s concerns over the current squad at the Emirates shouldn’t really come as a surprise.
The Gunners have a handful of world-class stars on their books, and if the club fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League, they could then seek an Emirates exit.
Arsenal need to get this next managerial appointment right, otherwise, they could face continued woes both on and off the pitch, similar to Manchester United.
