Arsenal begun their post-Unai Emery era by dropping points away from home and drawing 2-2 against Norwich City at Carrow Road.
Teemu Pukki and Todd Cantwell scored for the home side, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored both the goals for the Gunners to rescue a point.
After a lively start to the game by the away side, Norwich struck on the counter, with Pukki taking on both the centre-backs and firing a deflected shot into the back of the net in the 21st minute.
Seven minutes later, Arsenal got a penalty when Zimmermann handled the ball in the box. Aubameyang’s first penalty was saved by Tim Krul, but the VAR spotted an encroachment, meaning the kick was retaken. And the forward made no mistake this time.
Norwich regained their lead just before half-time, when Cantwell weaved past the defence and slotted his effort into the back of the net.
The Gunners equalised in the 57th minute via Aubameyang, after Shkodran Mustafi missed his effort from a corner.
Thereafter, the home side had the better chances to win the game, but Bernd Leno made a string of inspired saves to earn a point for his team.
