# Arsenal enter the race to sign Peterborough’s Ricky-Jade Jones

Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and Man United are among the teams interested in signing young Peterborough forward Ricky-Jade Jones.

[According to the Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7727459/Man-United-Tottenham-Liverpool-clubs-race-Peterboroughs-Ricky-Jade-Jones.html), the Gunners are one of several teams in the hunt to sign the player.

Manchester City, Leicester and Southampton are also being credited with an interest in the 17-year-old following his first-team breakthrough.

Arsenal have already reportedly ‘made checks’ on the player in a bid to get ahead of the competition.

Peterborough have a great record for bringing through younger strikers and selling them on for huge profits.

Jones could be the next name to add to that list with the likes of a Dwight Gayle, Britt Assombalonga, Connor Washington, Jack Marriott and Craig Mackail-Smith all once applying their trade with the Posh.

While none of the aforementioned names ever hit the very top of the Premier League, Jones is clearly a player that many believe can.

Tottenham have already failed with a £2 million approach according to the report and at that price, he would be a relatively risk-free signing that could have a massive reward further down the line.

Arsenal have shown in recent months that chances will come for their younger stars and Jones might just be a name to keep a watchful eye on.
