Arsenal fans hit out at fellow supporters’ recent criticism of Lacazette

Plenty of Arsenal fans have got behind striker Alexandre Lacazette after a section of supporters slammed the Frenchman following his return from injury.

The 28-year-old missed seven fixtures in September and October with an ankle problem and was struggling to regain his impressive early-season form when he returned to full fitness.

His sub-par displays led to numerous supporters hitting out at the striker, with his Emirates future currently up in the air.

However, Lacazette netted twice on the weekend as he helped the Gunners salvage a point at home to a struggling Southampton side.

His performance led to well-known Arsenal fan @PatrickTimmons1 praising the striker, labelling recent criticism as ‘over the top’.

The post on social media then led to these Arsenal supporters hitting out at fans who have been critical towards Lacazette.

If the forward didn’t reaggravate his ankle problem four games into the season, then he would probably have more than five goals to his name.

However, he’s not just bringing goals to his game. Lacazette’s tireless work rate is improving every week, but if fans keep getting on his back, then they may well lose him for good over the next six months.
