Arsenal fans worried they’ll live to regret missing out on Arteta

Everton will target Mikel Arteta as their next manager should they part ways with Marco Silva, and the news hasn’t gone down well with some Arsenal supporters.

According to Football Insider, cited by the Daily Express, the Toffees have earmarked their former midfielder as a top contender for the role at Goodison Park.

Arsenal have also been linked with the Spaniard in recent weeks as the pressure continues to build on Unai Emery.

The 37-year-old, along with former Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri, have emerged as the two front runners to replace Emery, who’s time at the Emirates looks destined to end before the new year.

So, when Gunners supporter @PatrickTimmons1 shared his worry over Everton’s interest in Arteta, it allowed these Arsenal fans to also share their panic.

Arsenal secured Arteta’s services as a player from Everton, so they could always look to snatch the Manchester City assistant for the Toffees grasp over the coming weeks.

Arteta has been tipped to become an extremely successful manager after learning under Pep Guardiola in recent years, so it’s easy to see why some Arsenal fans are frustrated.

The former Gunners man knows the club very well from his playing days and could be the perfect appointment to sort out the mess in north London.

However, if Arsenal do want to talk with Arteta, they may have to make a decision very quickly or risk missing out on his services to Everton.
