Arsenal have reportedly contacted the representatives of Massimo Allegri about the possibility of replacing Unai Emery.
As revealed on The Transfer Window podcast, it is claimed that the Gunners have been in touch recently.
They add that the Arsenal board will hold talks over the next 48 hours in what will be an ‘unscheduled’ boardroom meeting to discuss the current situation that the club find themselves in.

Allegri has reportedly been living in London recently with the aim of landing a Premier League job, so it looks like he would be on hand if a job came up at short notice.
The Italian is arguably the most experienced and decorated manager on the market at the minute after Jose Mourinho took over at Tottenham.
By bringing in Allegri, they would solve the potential issue of waiting until the summer to make a decision on Emery’s replacement.
Not only would they be getting a manager straight away, but they would also be getting themselves a true winner.
Allegri has managed at some big clubs and would bring the authority and determination that Emery has lacked during his time in London, with the pressure mounting on the latter.
