# Arsenal to rival United and Southampton for Danny Loader

Arsenal will rival the likes of Manchester United, Southampton and Leicester in a bid to sign Reading’s Danny Loader.

[According to the Burnley Express](https://www.burnleyexpress.net/sport/football/burnley-star-to-manchester-united-the-deals-the-clarets-and-their-premier-league-rivals-could-secure-in-january-1-10116366), the Gunners are one of several teams keen to sign the Championship starlet.

The 19-year-old England youth international is highly rated at Reading and is a man in-demand ahead of the January window.

Loader has long been linked with a big move away from Reading after breaking into their first-team squad.

He made his debut for Reading aged just 16, way back in 2017. He hasn’t been short of suitors ever since.

Wolves came very close to signing the player recently, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Nuno Espirito Santo’s side reignite their interest in the coming months.

While he has impressed for his club, it’s in the England youth set-up where he has really caught the eye.

From U16s to U20s, he has scored an impressive 13 goals across the various levels.

Still only 19 years of age, Loader has time on his side and looks set for a big future.

Game time may be a struggle for him at Arsenal if he were to make the move, but it could be a case of the Gunners agreeing a deal and potentially loaning him out elsewhere to continue his development.

After breaking through so young, this would be really beneficial for him to make sure he’s playing at a high level.
