Arsenal fans think Arteta’s the man to bring Champions League football back to the Emirates

Arsenal fans believe that Mikel Arteta is the man to bring Champions League football back to the Emirates.

The 37-year-old has been tipped to replace Unai Emery in the near future, with the Gunners boss coming in for plenty of criticism as a result of the club’s woeful form.

Arteta, who is currently serving as Pep Guardiola’s assistant at defending champions Manchester City, was part of the last Arsenal side to play in Europe’s elite domestic competition during the 2015/16 season.

And when @LTArsenal shared the stat, these Gunners supporters were quick to call on the former midfielder to make a return to north London.

Emery is under immense pressure at the Emirates and anything but a win against Southampton this weekend would be seen as a huge failure.

If the Gunners come out of the fixture without three points, then Emery could well be replaced by his fellow countryman, and if he is, it would go down well with these Arsenal fans.
