Arsenal fans are fearing another post-international break disappointment from their side when Southampton travel to the Emirates this weekend.
The Gunners have failed to come out with three points in their previous two returns to domestic action, drawing against Watford in September and losing at Sheffield United in October.

On paper, a home clash against the Saints is the perfect fixture to begin the busy six-week period.
However, when @PatrickTimmons1 shared a worrying post on social media, plenty of Arsenal fans were left feeling anxious ahead of this weekend’s meeting.

A home fixture against a side who haven’t won a league match since the middle of September is just what Emery would have wanted, so it would be typical Arsenal if they somehow failed to defeat the Saints.
If the Gunners do find a way to slip up against Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side, then it could be curtains for Emery.
Failing to win would stretch the club’s woeful form to just one victory in eight, an inexcusable record for the Spaniard.
