Arsenal’s Matteo Guendouzi and Tottenham’s Harry Winks have once again been compared while on international duty.
The Gunners ace failed to turn out for the French senior side in their final two qualification fixtures, while Winks netted his first England goal in the 4-0 win over Kosovo on Sunday.

A post emerged on social media digging out Guendouzi following Winks’ Three Lions start, which resulted in @afcDW defending the Gunners man.
Twitter: Guendouzi has started four of the France u21s’ last seven games. The other three he was with the first team.

This then allowed these Arsenal fans to join in the backing of the 20-year-old.
Twitter: @afcDW Not to mention that this France squad just won the WC. Breaking into those ranks is something else entirely. (@calomarron)
Twitter: @afcDW Guendouzi also competing with an elite squad, Winks competing with Henderson and Ox (@Martynhadadream)
Twitter: @afcDW Add to that France are world champions and England are, well slightly above average

The pair have always been compared by both sets of fans over the past 12 months, and that debate continued on the weekend.
It’s easy to forget that Winks is three years Guendouzi’s senior, and the Gunners star will more than likely go on to improve his already impressive game over the next three years.
The duo play in a similar central role but possess different qualities.
Guendouzi excels with his defensive instinct and no-nonsense approach, while Winks’ energetic style and ball-playing role are what make him highly-rated.
Both are solid midfield options in the Premier League, but we feel that the Frenchman will go on to become the better player in time, hopefully at the Emirates.
