Napoli are showing an interest in Lucas Torreira, and the news hasn’t gone down well with a section of Arsenal supporters.
According to Italian reporter @NicoSchira, the Uruguayan’s agent, Pablo Betancur, has told the Gunners that the midfielder wants to leave the club in the new year.
Arsenal chief Raul Sanllehi doesn’t want to sell the 23-year-old, with further meetings set to take place over the coming days.
Schira claims that Napoli view the player as a replacement to current midfielder Allan, who also looks set for a move away over the next six months.

The news is obviously a major blow, but you can’t really blame Torreira for wanting to leave north London.
When selected, he’s been played out of position by Unai Emery, and with the Gunners willing to give the Spaniard time, the midfielder has to make the right decision for himself.
Arsenal fans will be hoping that Emery leaves and Torreira stays, but, unfortunately, it doesn’t look like that will be the case.
