Arsenal and Tottenham are showing a real interest in Napoli forward Dries Mertens, however, it appears as if some Gunners fans aren’t keen on a move for the free-scoring forward.
The 32-year-old will become a free agent in the summer, and the Gunners, rivals Spurs, Juventus and Inter Milan, are all keeping tabs on the Belgian.

Mertens has been plying his trade with Napoli since 2013, however, his association with the Blues looks likely to come to an end at the end of the season.
@ZR_7G1 shared Arsenal’s interest on social media on Tuesday afternoon, and surprisingly, these supporters weren’t too impressed.

Although the forward will turn 33 next year, it comes as a shock to see so many fans not interested in a move for the prolific goalscorer.
Very rarely does a player of Mertens’ calibre become available on a free transfer, and with the futures of Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang up in the air, the club would be silly to not track the Belgian.
Of course, the club needs to strengthen in other areas, but if the Gunners can lure Mertens to the Emirates, we’d view it as a very good piece of business.
