Arsenal fans hail Gazidis as Xhaka starts Milan house-hunting

Arsenal fans have shared their delight after learning Granit Xhaka is already house hunting in Italy ahead of a possible new year move to AC Milan.

The Swiss international hasn’t been seen in a Gunners shirt following his dramatic substitution against Crystal Palace last month.

Xhaka, who cupped his ear and reacted angrily to being booed by Arsenal supporters, has also been replaced as club captain by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The hectic few weeks in north London for the 27-year-old has raised serious questions regarding his permanent future at the Emirates, with many tipping him to complete a move to Serie A in January.

And it appears as if the player himself has now taken matters into his own hands by scouting out the Milanese property market.

The update was shared on social media by @MRArsenicTM on Monday afternoon, and these Gunners supporters were quick to thank former official Ivan Gazidis, who now works at Milan.

A move away for Xhaka in the new year looks to be the best decision for all involved.

It’s hard to see how he could come back into the first-team fold following his falling out with the fans, so a move to a new country seems sensible.

He’d also be linking up with Gazidis, who helped bring the midfielder to north London back in 2016.

Gazidis’ involvement could make a move to Milan effortless, and if he did move away, it doesn’t look like it would affect these Arsenal fans.
