Arsenal fans have reacted to the news that Newcastle United are keen on Granit Xhaka.
According to The Times, the Magpies are ready to make a move for the Swiss star, with the Gunners expecting the former skipper to pursue an Emirates exit in the new year.
Xhaka was recently stripped of the captain’s armband after his reaction to a section of fans booing him off against Crystal Palace last month.
The report also states that the 27-year-old is worried that his absence from Emery’s side will affect his potential chances of playing in next year’s European Championships with Switzerland.

Xhaka wants regular game time ahead of next summer’s European Championships, something he would probably get at St James’ Park.
