Arsenal fans have once again leapt to the defence of Mesut Ozil after watching back an old clip from 2013.
On this day in 2013, the Gunners beat Borussia Dortmund at the Westfalenstadion with a brilliant team performance on the night.
Highlights have been floating around social media, remembering Aaron Ramsey’s goal that gave the Gunners the win.
However, these fans all spotted what Mesut Ozil did during the game, with his defensive contributions standing out.

Arsenal fans will be desperate to see more of this version of Ozil going forward for the Gunners.
The German appears to be working his back into Emery’s plans after pressure from the Arsenal fan base and now he needs to make it count.
It was an inspired performance from Ozil, as he and the likes of Aaron Ramsey helped Arsenal to a famous victory in Germany.
