Arsenal will look to continue their 100 per cent start to the Europa League as they travel to northern Portugal to face Vitoria de Guimaraes at the Estadio Dom Afonso Henriques.
This Europa League fixture will rather unusually be played on a Wednesday. This is because it was moved forward by a day to ease pressure on Portuguese authorities in Braga, as both Braga and Vitoria had home games in their groups scheduled on the same day.
These two sides met previously in late October, where Arsenal fought from 2-1 down in the first half to win 3-2 at the death, thanks to two Nicolas Pepe free-kicks.
This result has piled all the pressure on Vitoria, as they have lost all three of their group games, and need to win this game or they will be knocked out of the tournament.
Arsenal, on the other hand, are sitting at the top of their group, winning all three of their games. This stage of the Europa League gives Emery the chance to play more young, fringe players, but they should be wary of the intensity that the Portuguese side will bring.
As witnessed in their previous meeting, Vitoria do have quality in their side and are desperate for a win, so Arsenal should be prepared for an intense game.
