Arsenal have sacked head of youth scouting Steve Morrow as well as around eight other staff members as the Gunners look to restructure their Academy setup, as reported on the Daily Mail.
The changes have been made for Academy manager Per Mertesacker, who is looking to put his stamp on the young talent that is emerging at the club.
However, the sackings are making Arsenal fans excited, as they’re anticipating similar news to emerge about first-team coach Unai Emery…

READ ARSENAL VERDICT
Arsenal sacking youth scouts and youth development coaches doesn’t really have much correlation with the first team, but anything which even possibly hints at an Emery exit is good news for some Arsenal fans at the moment.
The Gunners are really struggling and many fans have had enough of the style of football and results that Emery is producing at the Emirates.
The pressure is well and truly on, with Jose Mourinho being heavily linked with replacing Emery. We’ll just have to wait and see whether the clearing out of youth staff does have anything to do with a new manager arriving or not.
