Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas feels that there is no way back for Granit Xhaka at Arsenal, as reported on Sky Sports.
The midfielder angrily hit out at the club’s fans whilst being substituted during the 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace last weekend.
The club captain removed his Arsenal shirt and was heavily booed and jeered by the Emirates faithful.
Nicholas understands Xhaka’s frustration but feels that his actions mean he has no place at the club. Nicholas said:
I would imagine it’s a horrible feeling being in the position he’s in right now, but that anger must be controlled. To be a footballer of any significance, especially at the higher level, if you don’t have thick skin to take some criticism, then you are not a footballer.
He’s representing Arsenal as a captain and it is unacceptable to think you’re as big as anything at the club. His behaviour was atrocious, and I don’t see him having a future at the club.
Does Nicholas have a point?

In the last few days, Xhaka has received more support after revealing that he and his family have been receiving heavy abuse on social media.
After hearing this from the Swiss international, it’s no surprise that he cracked when the fans got on his back once again.
No player’s family should ever be in danger over mere performances by the player and Nicholas could be right about Xhaka not having a future at the club. His relationship with the fans is too strained and may be beyond repair now.
