Nicholas tips Arsenal to secure narrow victory over Wolves

Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas has tipped Arsenal to beat Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Gunners host Wolves at the Emirates Stadium later today, with manager Unai Emery already confirming that club captain Granit Xhaka will play no part in the match.

Wolves, who like Arsenal, are competing well in the Europa League so far this season, will be looking to cause trouble to the Arsenal defence, just like these did to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium earlier this season.

But Nicholas feels Arsenal will secure a narrow 2-1 victory. As quoted on Sky Sports, he said:

I am a massive fan of playing Lacazette, Aubameyang and Pepe, with Ceballos just behind, so they should see Wolves off. These players must start to take the tension off the defenders and produce. I think they will do, while Wolves are still unpredictable in what they want to do and where they are.

The crowd are going to be on Arsenal’s case, but they will get over the line in this one.

Wolves are a very dangerous counter-attacking side, as they proved at the Etihad, so the Gunners will need to be very wary.

The visitors are certain to make it hard for Arsenal by defending with discipline and then picking their moments to get forward at lightning pace.

This game has a feeling of make or break for Emery, who is hugely unpopular with the fans at the moment.
