Arsenal fans call for Emery’s head following Wolves draw

Raul Jimenez scored late on for Wolves to frustrate Arsenal at the Emirates this afternoon.

The Gunners had led for most of the game after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored on the 20 minute mark, but the Mexican forward rose highest with 15 minutes to go to head the away side level and put more pressure on Unai Emery.

The Spanish coach has faced plenty of criticism this season, with many supporters declaring that it is time for the manager to go.

Arsenal have unfortunately been shrouded in negativity for a while now, from on-field issues to Granit Xhaka’s controversial rebellion against the fans, and this result would not have helped matters.

Taking to Twitter following the full-time whistle, many Arsenal fans made clear their desire for the Gunners to begin looking for a new manager.

Arsenal fans are right to feel frustrated by the club’s constant stagnation at this point. It does seem as though no matter who the club buy and how much money they spend, they just can’t move back to being title contenders.

While that may not be Emery’s fault entirely, the buck was stop at the manager, and if he cannot get his players to rise to the level they need to be at consistently then maybe he isn’t the right man for the job.

Arsenal are an attractive enough prospect who could attract all manner of promising managers across the continent, and if Emery isn’t sacked soon, it is safe to assume he is at least on thin ice in North London.
