# Carragher tips Rodgers for Arsenal or Chelsea jobs

Jamie Carragher believes that Arsenal should be considering Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers as a potential replacement for Unai Emery.

[Speaking to Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/29326/11845327/brendan-rodgers-should-leicester-manager-be-considered-for-the-top-jobs) about the Leicester manager, the ex-Liverpool defender pinpointed both Arsenal and Chelsea as potential destinations for him going forward.

> You look at Arsenal and Chelsea in a few years’ time, whether Frank stays there or not. Rodgers has a link to Chelsea, being in the youth set-up and the reserves. They’re the two jobs you’d look at, maybe international wise as well.

Rodgers has earnt a lot of plaudits for the way that his Leicester side have started this season and rightly so.

The Foxes are looking to poised to mount a serious challenge for Champions League football as they look to break up the top four.

When you compare Chelsea’s and Arsenal’s campaigns so far, it looks increasingly likely that Unai Emery will be the first manager from the two clubs to leave his current job.

The only bump in the road that Arsenal may have is whether or not Rodgers sees the Gunners as enough of a step up for him to leave Leicester.

While there’s no doubt the Gunners are a step up in club stature, Arsenal aren’t guranteed a top-four finish and if Rodgers can somehow guide the Foxes into Europe, there may be bigger and better offers to come for the Northern Irishman.

After his spell at Liverpool, he is slowly proving himself to be among the best managers in the country, but will Arsenal be enough to convince him to move?
