Fenerbahce have reportedly made contact with Mesut Ozil’s agent – but will the Gunners allow the playmaker to leave the Emirates?
According to Turkish website Asist Analiz, relayed in an article by Sports Witness, Fenerbahce sporting director Damien Comolli will travel to England next week to discuss a possible move with the midfielder himself and his representative.

The 31-year-old made his first Arsenal appearance in over a month in the thrilling Carabao Cup tie against Liverpool, catching the eye with a brilliant assist for Ainsley Maitland-Niles in the second half.
Ozil has been tipped to make a return to Unai Emery’s Premier League side this weekend as a result of his impressive display at Anfield, but what will the Gunners do in the new year regarding the German?

Prior to last night, Ozil looked certain to leave in January, however, with Emery impressed with his display on Wednesday, there may well be a chance of the player remaining in north London.
The next few weeks will be crucial. If he can break back into Emery’s first-choice XI, then he may well be happy to stay at the Emirates.
However, if he falls back out of favour, then a move to Turkey to link up with Fenerbahce may well be a real possibility.
