Arsenal fans have urged Unai Emery to start Mesut Ozil and Lucas Torreira following the pair’s solid displays against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
The experienced midfielders both started and were both replaced in the second half during the Gunners’ crazy 5-5 draw with the Reds at Anfield.
Emery’s side eventually lost on penalties, despite leading by two goals on two occasions, however, some fans were willing to look at the positives.
Arsenal fan @PatrickTimmons1 pinpointed the performances of Ozil and Torreira, claiming the Spaniard cannot leave the duo out going forward.

Ozil and Torreira have both struggled to cement a starting spot in the league this season, but they did their chances no harm on Merseyside.
Torreira’s energetic display and Ozil’s ability to run the show in the final third were two positives to take away from the disappointing result, and by the looks of things, Arsenal fans want to see more from the duo.
