Arsenal fans have been reacting to the apology made by Granit Xhaka for his conduct during the 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
The midfielder was met by boos and jeers following Unai Emery’s decision to substitute him, prompting an even frostier reception at the Emirates.
Xhaka cupped his ears at the fans before ripping his shirt off and heading straight down the tunnel, causing plenty of debate in the aftermath.
However, the Switzerland international has since apologised, as depicted by Arsenal’s official Twitter account.

Xhaka may not have acted in the most professional manner, but he behaved as though many humans would upon meeting tens of thousands of jeers and whistles.
Whether or not the midfielder should remain Arsenal captain should be decided only on footballing matters, even if this incident will likely overshadow his legacy at the club.
The Gunners have bigger things to worry about than this, as they look to turn around what has been a dreadful start to the season.
