Campbell names four managers who could replace Emery

Ex-Arsenal forward Kevin Campbell has named four potential managers who he believes could be in the running to replace Unai Emery.

Speaking on AFTV, Campbell mentioned Massimo Allegri, Luis Enrique, Mikel Arteta and Patrick Vieira as potential replacements for the under-pressure Arsenal boss.

The board should be getting him out and getting in someone like an Allegri or someone of that ilk. Luis Enrique, I like Luis Enrique – people even mentioned Arteta. What about Patrick Vieira?

Arsenal look set to stick with Emery for the time being, providing their push for the top four remains intact.

Of the four names mentioned, you’d have to say that at least three of them should be considered as viable options for the Gunners.

Luis Enrique would be forgiven for not necessarily thinking about a return to management anytime soon after what he and his family have endured in recent months.

Allegri, Arteta and Vieira were all candidates for the Arsenal job before the club appointed Emery.

The former Juventus boss may be the toughest one of the three to convince, with the Italian being touted for a number of different jobs currently.

Arsenal moved away from Arteta previously due to his lack of experience, but after another year of working under Pep Guardiola – who rates him so highly – is he finally ready to take that next step on his own?

It would be a risk, but it’s a move that would certainly be popular among the fan base.
