# Arsenal fans call for Nathan Ake to be signed from Bournemouth

Arsenal have been linked with a number of defenders in recent weeks, from [Daniele Rugani](https://readarsenal.com/2019/10/28/arsenal-remain-interested-in-25m-rated-daniele-rugani/), [Dayot Upamecano](https://readarsenal.com/2019/10/22/arsenal-to-go-all-in-for-upamecano-what-difference-could-he-make/) and [Liverpool’s Joe Gomez](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1196204/Liverpool-transfer-news-Joe-Gomez-QUIT-Arsenal-Tottenham-latest-gossip).

However, some fans online believe they have a better target in mind. Bournemouth’s Nathan Ake has emerged as a player that these Arsenal fans on social media would love to see added to the squad.

### Read Arsenal verdict

Ake has been a fantastic defender for Bournemouth since joining the Cherries permanently.

The Dutchman has cemented himself as one of the better young defenders in the Premier League and has even been [linked](https://www.football.london/premier-league/transfer-news-live-ozil-ake-17122639) with bigger and better moves, as Chelsea hold a buy-back as part of the deal that took him to Bournemouth.

As per [WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/122945/Show/Nathan-Ak%C3%A9), Ake averages an impressive 0.2 fouls per 90 minutes in the Premier League.

At Bournemouth, he has also been part of a defensive set-up that at times is forced to defend deep and in numbers, but at the same time, he has the composure on the ball to bring play out from the back, something that would see him fit in nicely at Arsenal.
